Extension of existing opposition councils’ work in new areas until year-end

Moscow, May 13 – The work of existing dissertation councils in new regions of Russia has been extended until the end of this year, and the integration of the local system of certification of scientific personnel into the Russian system will be facilitated, the head of the News Agency said in an interview with the News Agency. Higher Attestation Commission of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation (VAK), Rector of the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia Vladimir Filippov.
“Moreover, we have extended the activities of all previously existing dissertation councils in the new lands until the end of 2023. But since Russian diplomas are issued to candidates and Doctors of Sciences based on the results of theses defended in these theses, expert councils of the Supreme Attestation Commission will be considered. of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, which will ensure the unity of requirements for the quality of messages.
According to Filipov, “It is very important to take immediate measures and provide the necessary urgent assistance to organizations, opposition councils and applicants for academic degrees from new regions.”
In this regard, at the proposal of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, by order of the Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin, Chairman of the Higher Attestation Commission of the DRC, Rector of the Donetsk Medical University, Professor Grigory Ignatenko is included in the Higher Attestation Commission of Russia, and with him the Ministry convenes Education and Science of Russia and the Supreme Certification Commission operational meetings almost weekly on various issues of integration of our systems for training and certification of highly qualified scientific personnel, ”said Filippov.
