This is evidenced by documents from the lawsuit between Epic Games and Apple are coming. Epic is said to have offered $ 200 million to Sony for four to six PlayStation games and has been waiting for a response from the company. Incidentally, it is not clear whether it was 200 million dollars per game, or for the four to six games combined.
It is not known what Sony’s reaction was, but as of yet no first-party PlayStation games have appeared exclusively on the Epic Games Store. There are several Sony games available on the Epic Games Store, including Horizon Zero Dawn and the upcoming Days Gone, but those games are also on Steam.
The same document also states that similar conversations with Microsoft were difficult, because the companies see each other as competitors. It is also reported that Xbox boss Phil Spencer and Valve boss Gabe Newell occasionally had conversations.
The document shows that Epic most likely did not once tried at Nintendo. Epic calls a possible collaboration a “high ball” and “no chance”. This is in line with previous reports on cooperation proposals with Nintendo. When Microsoft proposed a takeover of Nintendo, Nintendo executives reportedly laughed for an hour during the meeting.
