In January, after the siege of the Capitol, almost every social network immediately blocked their accounts to avoid further trouble, and although many originally planned a temporary ban, they eventually saw fit not to let Trump back in.
One of the A committee that can be linked to Facebook but operates and judges independently has examined whether the president could now reappoint and decided that the time had not yet come to dissolve the ban, Trump could not return to either the FB or Instagram or to other platforms of the company. However, in their view, the indefinite exclusion was not justified and Facebook was called upon to reconsider the matter within six months and make a proportionate decision in accordance with the rules, which should apply not only to Trump but to all users.
It was revealed back in March that the ex-president would set up his own platform in response to the bans, which was launched yesterday. It’s not really a community platform, just the president’s personal blog through which approx. tweet-length, sometimes communicating with longer messages and videos about election fraud, political rivals, fake news media, things he’s used to. Posts can be shared on Facebook or Twitter as well as liked but not commented on. Twitter has no plans to ban the site until they break the rule
