When it comes to dealership consolidation, the decision to sell or stay and grow is a common topic of discussion. Automotive News is dedicated to covering the active dealership buy-sell market, where we see larger groups acquiring dealerships while some dealers choose to retire.

As I celebrate my one-year anniversary at Automotive News on Oct. 3, one of the aspects I find most fascinating is learning about the rich histories of generational dealership businesses.
