100% Electric Touring Championship starts this weekend
The Pure ETCR championship will start this weekend and will host the debut of the Cupra e-Racer in what will be the first 100% electric Touring championship.
In partnership with Zengo Motorsport, Cupra will participate with four drivers divided by two e-Racer: Mikel Azcona, Jordi Gené, Mattias Ekstroöm and Dániel Nagy.

The Cupra e-Racer is a car with four electric motors on the rear axle and a 65kWh battery cooled by liquid.This electric bolide generates a continuous power of 300kW (402hp) that reaches up to peaks of 500 kW (670 hp) and a maximum torque of 960Nm accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and reaches a maximum speed of 270km/h. June 18-20 – Vallelunga (Italy)
July 9-11 – MotorLand Aragón (Spain)
August 6-8 – Copenhagen (Denmark)
August 20-22 – Hungaroring (Hungary)
October 15-17 – Inje (South Korea)
At Pure ETCR, participants will be organized into groups and will be placed in a s against others in short races of 8-10 kilometers, where drivers will have tools like “Power-up”, giving them an extra boost of power to overtake an opponent, or to try to defend their position.
PUBThe results of those ‘battles’ will define the final rounds in races 12-15 kilometers away. The winner of the event will be recognized as “King or Queen of the Weekend” and will receive the most points (30).
