Crimea becomes the target of 9 Ukrainian drone marches amidst ongoing war

In the midst of a marching war that has been raging for months between Russian and Ukrainian forces, the Russian-controlled peninsula of Crimea has come under renewed drone attacks.

And the governor of the Ukrainian peninsula, Sergei Aksyonov, appointed by Moscow, said in a comment on Telegram today, Sunday, that air defense in Crimea shot down five Ukrainian marches on Sunday night.

At the same time, electronic warfare equipment controlled four more marches, he said.

He also added that in Dzhankoy, as a result of the collapse of one of the marches, three houses and two cars were damaged. An unexploded march was also found on the territory of a private house.

On the other hand, the Ukrainian Air Force stated that their air defense systems shot down 3 Russian marches, as well as 4 cruise missiles.

Russia seized a peninsula overlooking the Black Sea and annexed it unilaterally from Ukraine in 2014, which is not internationally recognized.

It is noteworthy that a few months ago, attacks increased with marches between the two sides in the war that began last February (2022) between Russia and Ukraine, but in the recent period there have been intense attacks on Russian border countries, which angered Moscow. who dealt blows to the heart of Kyiv.

The two opposing sides often resort to marches as a fairly cheap way to bombard each other’s positions, especially since both sides have suffered material and human losses during this war, which, according to many observers, will continue for a long time.

They also think that in this war, which has mobilized the whole world and deepened divisions between the western and eastern camps, the role of the drone will increase.
