LAHORE:
Captain (retired) Mohammad Safdar and member of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) of Provincial Assembly (MPA) Imran Khalid was indicted by the court on Saturday in happening of rebellion and intervention with in government.
According to Express-news, the case was considered against Federal Minister Khurram Dastgir, Safdar and others including MPA. Safdar and Imran Khalid appeared. in court of Judicial Magistrate Muhammad Azam Khan.
Court also called witnesses on June 20, until the defendants of intervening in in affairs of in government were called on June 29.
However, Safdar and Dastgir were exempted from attending next hearing, while former Deputy Mayor and Community Council member Imran Khalid was ordered to appear at each hearing.

FIR filed in 2020 against Safdar in Gujranwala for rebellion and for “provoking people against The State and Its Institutions.
According to the FIR, Safdar held a meeting at Imran Khalid’s residence and threatened to “force out government through protests.
Safdar had announced what if the authorities refuse give PML-N permission to hold a rally in Gujranwala, he would force them in granting permission, FIR said.
