RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Headquarters (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Saturday called the commander of the Balochistan Corps and sent him to help the provincial government in Rescue work during the flood, reports ARY NEWS with reference to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
According to ISPR, the commander of the army ordered the commander of the Balochistan Corps to receive update on flood situation and take all measures to assist the provincial Balochistan. for rescue, relief and rehabilitation efforts on state of emergency in coordination with civil administration.

“Unprecedented rains caused destruction of human life and communications infrastructure, especially in Balochistan, COAS Bajwa said. He further directed the use of army resources for help affected population and restore critical communication infrastructure as an urgent temporary measure.

“Pakistani army stands with flood affected population in this is a difficult time of testing and should make these efforts to help as national obligations,” the COAS said in a statement.
