CNN’s Brianna Keilar Compares GOP Presidential Candidate Field to Crowded Jacuzzi

CNN anchor Brianna Keilar recently compared the field of Republican presidential candidates to a crowded jacuzzi, saying that there are simply too many people vying for the nomination. Keilar made the comment during a discussion with colleague Jake Tapper about the growing number of Republicans seeking to take on current GOP front-runner Donald Trump.

“Come on in, the water’s fine”

Tapper joked about the burgeoning list of candidates, saying “Come on in, the water’s fine.” He then asked Keilar if she was feeling the “Burgumentum,” a nod to North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum’s (R) reported imminent campaign launch.

Feeling the “mentum”

Keilar responded that she was feeling a lot of “mentum,” and mentioned that there could be some “Pencementum” and “Burgumentum” as well. She then compared the crowded field to a crowded jacuzzi, asking “At a certain point, aren’t there just too many people in the jacuzzi?”

Concerns for Trump

Tapper acknowledged that the crowded field is a concern for those who do not want Donald Trump to be the nominee, as they are worried about what happened during the last election. He also joked that he couldn’t get the image of the jacuzzi out of his head.

Anti-vaccine conspiracy theorist’s challenge

After discussing Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s longshot challenge of President Joe Biden for the Democratic nomination, Tapper returned to Keilar’s comment about the crowded field. Keilar joked that the comment was on purpose, and the two moved on to other topics.
