CDA eyes Rs20b revenue from auction of 58 plots in Jan-2023

ISLAMABAD: Capital Development Authority prepared up for putting up for auction 58 objects of commercial and residential real estate in January 2023 with the goal is to get 20 billion rupees to cover development and non-development costs.

According to budget the documents of previous years, CDA fulfills its most of in financial needs through the sale of commercial and residential lots.

A meeting of CDA Council scheduled to meet this week in what an endorsement for upcoming auction will be requested.

city managers intended to put up for auction total of 58 plots, including 6 plots of different maraquises, 5 plots of blue area3 area of North lane E-11, an. economy land plot, 10 agricultural plots, hotel plot, 2 industrial plots, 2 hospital plots, 4 gas station plots, 4 commercial plots of Park Enclave, 7th class 3 sections shopping center, section of school in E-11 and 12 residential lots of Enclave Park.

Sources said the CDA is going to offer 5 percent discount on overseas Pakistanis in attract foreign investment while 15 percent will there be a discount also be given for full payment within 30 days of Proposal Letter in one go. At the same time, civil power also extended the deadline to complete buildings to facilitate investors, which is considered positive development to concerned circles.

Previously building completion time of all sections were 3 years old but now there is an indulgence of 4 years given on areas that have more than 1000 sq. yards area and for areas with more than 3000 sq. yards area.

The auction is expected to take place on January 23-25, 2023 as part of a committee chaired by CDA Member Finance while Estate Member, P&D Member, DFA-II, DG Law, Director of Public Affairs, Director of Urban Planning, Director of Regional Planning, EM-II Director and CFO. will be members of Committee.

The plots will be sold out through a public auction and the bids received will be submitted to the CDA Board which is the competent authority for Adoption of rates. Currently, the city government is doing several development projects at a fast pace pace for what will he have to give billions of Rs for contractors in in next quarter. AND senior the officer said that if we remain successful in auction lots in January then we easily dispose of funds for current projects, otherwise the authorities could face deficit of funds to continue projects.
