KARACHI:
prominent industrialist and head of United Business Group SM Muneer passed away on Monday evening after a short illness. He was 77.
Before his death, he attended an event organized by in honour of Governor of Sindh at the Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) on Monday afternoon.

According to former chairman of KATI, Farhanur Rehman, Munir raised their temperature during KATI event. After the service, he was taken to private hospital, but his condition worsened.
Late S. M. Munir also served former the president of Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Trade and Industry (FPCCI) and former Executive Director of Trade and Development Authority (TDAP).
Funeral prayers of the deceased will be offered in the Al-Hamra Society in Karachi.
Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori, former the president of FCAT Mian Nasir Hayat Magoon, Chairman of Rufi Group Manzoor Rufi, CEO of TDAP Zubair Motiwala, Atik Mir, Karachi Chamber President Tariq Yusuf, Federation President Irfan Iqbal Sheikh and representatives of other cameras of trade and industry expressed deep sorrow and grief over in death of S. M. Muner.
