ISLAMABAD: Budget deficit recorded at Rs 5.259 trillion during last fiscal year 2021-22 with percent of 7.9 percent against budget goal of 6.3 percentPakistan learned for sure today.
According to summary of consolidated fiscal transactions uploaded by Finance Davison on Friday, total revenue during last fiscal year amounted to 8035.383 billion rupees. against in total expenditure of Rs 13,295.275 billion.
Direct taxes have been accounted for at Rs 2,280 billion, including Rs 1,009 billion. on international trade (customs), a sales tax of Rs 2,531 billion and a federal excise tax of Rs 320.978 billion.
The total expenditure was Rs 13.295 trillion. with current spending Rs 11.521 trillion in in last fiscal year. Belonging total current expenditure; mark-up payments were Rs 3.182 trillion, domestic Rs 2,828.572 billion and foreign Rs 353.860 billion, while defense spending was Rs 1.411 trillion.
Besides, development expenditure & net lending amounted to 1.657 trillion rupees, and the statistical discrepancy was recorded at 116.478 billion rupees.
Pension spending was Rs 541.862 billion. of civil government Rs 546.725 billion, subsidies Rs 1,529.609 billion and subsidies to others Rs 1,141.830 billion.
The budget deficit was Rs 5.259 trillion and the primary deficit was Rs 2.077 trillion.
Financing of in budget the deficit was met by borrowing of 5,230 billion rupees from external (net) borrowing of Rs 1,178 billion and domestic (net) loans of 4.081 billion rupees – non-bank borrowing of Rs 980.570 billion and bank loans of Rs 3,100.912 billion.
provincial taxes of $612.366 billion including sales tax on Services 355.720 billion rupees excises duty Rs 8.896 billion, stamp duty Rs 70.888 billion and vehicles tax 36.219 billion rupees, besides another 140.643 billion rupees.
In non-tax income of Rs 1,280.215 billion including federal Rs 1,151.918 billion. with mark-up (PSEs & Others) Rs 87.792 billion, dividends Rs 42.872 billion, PTA profits and others Rs 103.444 billion, surplus Profits of National Bank of Pakistan Rs 473.574 billion, defense revenue Rs 17.261 billion, passport fee Rs 21.619 billion, rebate maintained on crude oil 16.504 billion rupees, royalties on oil and gas 90.842 billion rupees.
Contingency fee against crude oil 14.397 billion rupees, oil tax on Liquefied gas 3.659 billion rupees, gas infrastructure development Rs 18.619 billion natural gas development surcharge Rs 20.372 billion, oil levy Rs 127.529 billion and others Rs 113.434 billion. Provincial non-tax payments amounted to Rs 128.297 billion.
