British authorities have closed an investigation into British-Pakistani businessman Farhan Junjo. for supposedly laundering £8 million.
British National Crime Agency (NCA), lead law enforcement of United Kingdom against organized crime; human, arms and drug trafficking; cybercrime; and economic crime investigated Junjo and his alleged connections with politicians in Pakistan and for supposedly laundering money on their name.
They have had also Arrested Junjo and his wife in London on September 17, 2018
“The NCA has closed this investigation,” NCA Senior Public Affairs Officer Kerry Fitzpatrick said in a statement.
The agency continued that they “will not take any further action unless they are coerced new certificate of criminal liability has been established.
Pakistan Asset Recovery Unit (ARU), then led by former special assistant prime minister on accountability Shahzad Akbar sued of money laundering and corruption against Junjo with NCA.
