Man arrested after another man was raped in a hotel in Manchester city Centre. Emergency services were called to the hotel in Portland Street shortly before 8:30 am today (Wednesday).
Police said they received a report that the man had been raped by another man. It is known that the incident occurred at the Mercure Manchester Piccadilly hotel. A 27-yearthe old man was arrested on suspicion of rape. He remains in in police custody.

Several police cars and an ambulance were seen parked. outside entrance to the hotel, next to the interchange with new york street, on Wednesday morning.
In a statement, the press secretary for Greater Manchester Police said: “Officers have been called to report. of rape just until 8:30 am (May 25, 2022) at the hotel on Portland Street, Manchester.
“Emergency services arrived and the man was reportedly raped by another man.
“A 27-yearthe old man was arrested on suspicion of rape. He remains in in custody at this time. Requests on-going.”
