Mr Sunak, who campaigned for Vote Leave, said he was ‘puzzled’ by accusations from some quarters that he wasn’t enough of Brexit supporter.
“I keep reading that somehow I’m not getting enough Brexiti. in it’s leadership race,” he said. “I really think that I was one who actually voted and campaigned for Brexit in in first place.
“I radically set up new freeports across the country, the idea that I came up with which right now are attracting jobs and investment to places that are desperately need It.”
He added: “My business experience so i can lead our economy in future and take advantage of the opportunities that await for us if we are willing to be bold and ambitious in capturing them.”
Ms Truss said she was “pretty ambiguous” at the time. on Brexit in in run-up to the 2016 referendum, in whom she voted to stay and she “wasn’t sure”. She said she was “concerned about possible failures” of leaving the EU.
Ms Truss said she would not impose an ‘arbitrary’ restriction on immigration because: “I think we should have skills we need in our country, but I don’t believe in arbitrary target, and when we had one it wasn’t there before work”.
She said she’ll pull Britain out of European Court of Human rights that are not part of of EU, adding: “If we need to, but I’d rather pass the law through the British bill of Rights”.
asked how a lot of post-Brexit trade deals were now in force she said they were “just over 70” and what some provided to British firms with “better deals than they had within the EU.”
“I would like media to spend more time to talk about trade deals, not political scandals,” she said. added.
