At least 10,000 houses destroyed in KP from rain, floods

PESHAWAR:

Rescue efforts and assistance from the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) are ongoing. in various flooded areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (city ofKP) after a big flood in provinces.

Provincial Disaster Management Authority body said, in report that at least 193 people perished in the rain and subsequent floods, with more 251 people injured in various accidents.

The report highlights that 16 schools were also damaged in various areas of KP.

PDMA said at least 8,987 homes were damaged. in provinces and 10,761 people were completely destroyed. total amount of destroyed or damaged housing units in now the province has 19,748 people.

At least 959 goals of cattle also died in various accidents.

To-P government issued an “emergency evacuation order” for two areas after the Munda Headworks Bridge in Charsadda who controlled the flow of The Swat River collapsed on Friday evening due to devastating flooding caused by rain in provinces.

According to warning issued by the provincial government official at night: “Now it is known for sure that the areas of Charsadda and Nowshera, including the surrounding areas, will be flooded in a little hours.”
