Accused man of hurt the writer Salman Rushdie at a lecture series in Southwest New York was indicted with attempt murder and attack, authorities said Saturday.
Hadi Matarfrom Fairview, New Jersey jumped onto the stage at the Chautauqua Institute. on On Friday, Mr. Rushdie was attacked seconds after the author was introduced to the public, police said.
