Asif Ali Zardari and Fazlur Rehman discuss cabinet formation

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) head Maulana Fazlur Rehman held a meeting today, ARY News reported. on Monday.

Supreme Leader of JUI-F and Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) head Maulana Fazlur Rehman hosted iftar dinner for Asif Ali Zardari today. They exchanged opinions on in current political situation, joint strategy and cabinet formations.

Sources told ARY News that both politicians agreed on working together.

Previously in day it became clear that PPP is still divided on in issue of taking ministries in in new coalition government under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

Well-informed sources told ARY News that PPP leadership remains divided. on in issue of Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari joining federal cabinet as new foreign minister in in coalition government. There are reportedly two camps in the PPP and both have different opinions on the formation of the cabinet.

One believes Mr. Bhutto-Zardari should go for slot of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while members of the other camp, however, thinks that the chairman of the PPP should don’t become a part of federal cabinet, the sources said.

Sources also announced that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari would leave for London tonight until its return schedule from the United Kingdom (UK) has not been finalized party.

They said that PPS more interested in holding constitutional office compared to ministries in federal cabinet, and PML-N has not yet made a decision in this context.

PPP asked for constitutional offices, including four governors, and demanded three important ministries in federal cabinet.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) did not respond to demands of PPS, including the presidency of the Senate and others so far.

Earlier there were reports that the PPP decided to join the of Federal cabinet after negotiations with PML-N.
