ISLAMABAD: After the accusations of to be “biased” and a “party to PM Imran Khan “forward of The vote on the motion of no confidence against the premier, National Assembly President Asad Qaiser on Wednesday, made it clear that he would act according to the law and would do so run the assembly procedure referred to in article 95 of the Constitution.
Turning to Twitter, Qaiser wrote: “Me, as a keeper of the National Assembly of Pakistan, will fulfill my constitutional obligations and proceed in compliance with Article 95 of the Constitution e rule 37 of the rules of Procedure and conduct of Deal in the National Assembly, 2007.
On March 14, Qaiser said he would follow the law during the vote on the no-confidence motion after the opposition took strong exception to his remarks on the possibility of the failure of the motion of no confidence against PM Imran Khan.
In conversation with journalists in Islamabad, NA president said the no-confidence motion was a constitutional right of the opposition, but did not specify a date for the session.
“I will do it follow the law; I am still in consultation with the NA secretariat about the convocation of the session and will be called in line with the constitution, “the speaker had said.
