Arkane Confirms Redfall’s Cross-Platform Playability on Xbox One and PC

In the video game Redfall from the makers of Dishonored and Prey, players will defend a tranquil island village in Massachusetts from a vampire invasion. It’s a sizable open-world adventure that may be played either by one player or several. Redfall crossplay has been verified by the game’s creator, Arkane Studios, today. It will work on any Xbox and PC platform.

The PC-based crossplay between Steam and Game Pass would function, Bethesda blogged last month. But Arkane Studios developed that idea only a moment ago. Redfall’s crossplay capabilities will extend to connect Xbox and PC Game Pass, Steam, and the Epic Store when it opens, and it has been confirmed.

Together, slay vampires on many platforms.

Redfall will still need a constant internet connection to work, even if you only wish to play by yourself, it was recently revealed. Several fans found this piece of info infuriating because it meant that players with a spotty or nonexistent internet connection couldn’t fully enjoy the game.

But, players who want to make the most of Redfall’s crossplay features and flex their internet connections can do so on all platforms the game is launching.

Redfall’s map is huge, according to comments posted on Eurogamer.net. It provides enough room for gamers to roam around as a committed band of vampire hunters. Harvey Smith, the director of Arkane studio, was reported by Eurogamer as saying that only one region of Redfall’s map “dwarfs” the entire space station Talos One, seen in 2017’s Prey.

Redfall doesn’t have “tethering”; thus, players who join an online adventure can freely explore different parts of the map while still being together. But not really.

Redfall is scheduled to be live on Xbox and PC on May 2nd after several delays.
