The iCloud app in version 12.5 extends the clearly arranged selection area of the small utility with the area “Passwords”. It offers nothing less than a connection to the iCloud keychain. This means that Apple users can also access the secure passwords from their keychain under Windows.

However, this does not work across systems. Rather, Apple provides browser extensions for Microsoft Edge and Chrome that can be called up from the iCloud app in the respective browser and installed accordingly. After installation in the respective browser, the iCloud extension automatically recognizes form fields for which it has to make suggestions.
In addition, Windows users can edit or delete your existing access data. New accounts can also be created, the access data of which are then stored in the iCloud keychain and are then available on iPhones, for example. The Windows app does not offer any comfort functions available on Apple systems such as the automatic creation of new passwords.
System requirements must be met
Requirement for use is the current version of Windows 10 and the use of two-factor authentication with your own Apple ID. In addition, Hello must be activated on the Windows system. The keyring insists on biometric authentication or PIN entry.
The updated iCloud app is available for download from the Microsoft Store.
