Air India peeing incident: Delhi court sends accused Shankar Mishra to 14-day judicial remand, denies police his custody : The Tribune India

Delhi court on Saturday Shankar Mishra sent the accused of Peeing on traveling woman on Air India flight, to judicial remand for 14 days upon refusal of a plea by the police for his custody.

The police requested his remand for Three days for Interrogation while in detention, saying that it was required to be identified by three cabin crew members, two captains and other passengers also to check it out.

The Metropolitan Magistrate Anamika issued an order to send Mishra to judicial remand, stating that his detention was not. required by the police for Data recording of Other witnesses, including the flight crew and passengers.

“Just because there public pressure, don’t do this. said the judge.

“All of the above reasons….the computer is not required for statement registration of witnesses. They can be questioned in his absence. Data can be recorded, and there is no requirement of said the judge.

The court noted that on The basics of Evidence, the accused at first glance did not cooperate in Investigation.

“Look of records shows that the accused was deliberately avoiding him joining of Investigation. For further investigation and registration of formulations of Crew members, data recording, and custody are not required, the judge said.

During the arguments, the court asked the police why this was so required his custody.

The police presented to the court during the arguments that the flight crew did not deal with the situation and that they were also accomplice in alleged crime.
