ABB, one of the leading providers of charging infrastructure the world, has presented its new Terra 360 charging station. It should be the most powerful on the market.
The new Terra 360 from the Swiss ABB is a charging station that offers a maximum charging capacity of 360 kilowatts. This should be due to the modular structure of the station, which enables dynamic energy distribution.

Service so far without customer
There is currently no vehicle that can actually be charged at this speed. A maximum power consumption that is not too far removed from the possibilities of the Terra 360 is currently shown by the Audi E-Tron GT and its group sibling Porsche Taycan with 270 kilowatts.
But of course this is not the case ABB, who, according to their own statements, are already deliberately offering more performance than necessary. So the Terra 360 remains future-proof for the time being. Cars that can use the charging power would be able to refuel a range of 100 kilometers in three minutes – a full charge would take 15 minutes.
Terra 360 can charge four cars at the same time
On Thursday, ABB announced the market launch of the extremely fast charging station. The Terra 360 is designed so that up to four vehicles can draw power at the same time. There is plenty of space on the integrated 27-inch screen for information formats with pictures and videos.
ABB with almost 500,000 charging stations sold worldwide
In Europe, the first fast chargers should go into operation this year. They should be available in Asia, Latin America and the USA from 2022.
