Moscow, May 28 – Russia’s forest fire services put out 70 natural fires over an area of more than 17,000 hectares per day, Avialesookhrana reports.
“According to information from regional forest dispatch services, during the past day on May 27, 2023, in 24 regions of Russia, forest fire services and the people involved extinguished 70 fires in a fire-covered area, 17,252 hectares,” the report says.
By midnight on May 28, 51 forest fires were active in Russia on an area of 4998 hectares, which were actively extinguished. The largest area of \u200b\u200bfires is registered in the Sverdlovsk region – there are 17 fires on 2953 hectares.
