Kashmir parliament elects a speaker next prime minister

ISLAMABAD: The MP for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was elected up post in Azad Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday, officials said.

Legislators in Legislative Assembly of Azad Jammu and Kashmir elected Anwar ul-Haq will replace Sardar Tanvir Ilyas. who was removed as regions prime minister last week by court order for insulting judges.

Because no other candidates submitted nomination papers, Haq gained credibility of all 48 members present in in parliament, including 29 representatives of the ruling PTI and members of the opposition from the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
