What is David Perdue total failure will teach us

A recently released Fox poll showed Kemp gaining 60% compared to just 28% for Perdue, a stunning conclusion that suggests the incumbent is not going to just win — he’s going to mess around.

Which, in first look may seem strange. After all, former President Donald Trump urged Perdue to enter race in in first place and approved it. Kemp was enemy #one for Trump as he refused to cancel the 2020 election results in state.

But there is a lot to learn here.

And that lesson is this: launch campaign exclusively on in false opinion that the 2020 elections stolen not enough to win.

truth of Purdue’s candidacy is that he never found any communication other than a) elections were stolen (it’s not) and b) Kemp didn’t do enough to, ahem, stop the theft.

In everything but that, Purdue seemed to be generally likable. with Kemp. Both were down- line conservatives who generally supported the Trump-ward turn of Republican Party.

“Perdue thought Trump was a magic wand.” former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich (and supporter of Perdue) told The New York Times about race. “Looking back, hard understand the campaign and it’s definitely not the one campaign those of us who we for he was expected.”

The conclusion here seems simple: A. campaign built exclusively on The idea that the 2020 elections were rigged, despite all the evidence to the contrary, is not enough to win.

While pro-Trump voters clearly agree with the unsubstantiated belief that something is amiss in the 2020 elections, in Georgia at least it’s not issue that on his own shakes them votes. Perdue learns this lesson hard way.

Dot: Election deniability is rampant among Republican voters. But Perdue’s likely defeat suggests it’s not issue what drives people to the elections.
