Former Vice Speaker of the National Assembly, Qasim Suri, has asked the police to take action. against a group of unidentified men who he said he attacked him and his comrades while they were eating Seri at a diner in Kohsar Islamabad market early Friday morning.
Videos that have appeared on social media show that Pakistani Senator Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Ejaz Chaudhry attended the restaurant at that time of Incident. Suri wrote an application to the Kohsar station house officer, describing the incident in detail and asking for justice.
In handwritten copy of which available with Dawn.comSuri told the police that he visited a diner. for Seri in Kohsar market where “Adil Mirza […] and Khalid Bhatti sat in one of tables with me, Dr. Arif and the ladies sat at another table.”
He said group of 15 to 20 men arrived at the scene around 00:50 and started shouting slogans against PTI. Suri claimed that men attacked him and his comrades with rods, claiming that they were intended for kill them.
“They constantly threatened that no one would be able to leave. [the eatery] alive, he said. This, he continued, “sowed fear” among people.
According to Suri, one of his comrades, Dr. Arif, endured injury on his right eye at the time of the incident. Bhatti got injured too on his right eye and leg, he said.
Eventually, he said, the others present on the scene intervened, and the attackers left in two “whites” double cabin [vehicles] and one black V8″.
“A grave injustice has been committed and justice should be delivered by court order,” Suri said.
He added so that he, Mirza and Bhatti could identify those men if they were presented before them.
Early Friday morning, Suri took to Twitter to accuse “N-league bandits” for in events that took place.
Islamabad Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations) Faisal Kamran previously assured that first information report of incident will be logged soon after receiving his application.
Later, the FIR was registered. on on behalf of Suri in accordance with Article 148 (disorders during armed with deadly weapons), 149 (punishment for all members of illegal assembly is guilty of committed offense in prosecution of common object) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) of Pakistan Penal Code.

“Believe me, way people answered [to the attackers] […] they beat them (attackers) with chairs, the waiters beat them. And these dogs that have come, they cannot hunt the tiger. They are left after being humiliated,” said Suri, thanking people for “answer attack.
He went on say the days of “corrupt” and “imported” government”who is a US slave” were numbered.
“They can not cause no harm to me,” he commented.
For his part, Chaudhry claimed that the attackers were “minions”. of Shahzain Bugti, leader of the Jamhuri Watan Party who served as assistant to former prime minister Imran Khan in previous government before joining the then opposition in his application to remove the head of PTI from office.
“We strongly condemn attack on Qasim Khan Suri from henchmen of Shahzain Bugti. They can only engage in banditry,” he said. in tweet claiming that attack was in reaction to the incident in Medina, where people shouted slogans against seated ministers while visiting the Prophet’s Mosque.
