French capital is committed to reducing the circulation of vehicles
The city of Paris adopted this week as a general rule for circulation the maximum limit of 30 km/h.
This is not an isolated measure, but a new stage in the program of the Parisian Mayor, Anne Hidalgo, to reduce the circulation of cars in the City of Light, as happened in 2016 with the transformation of the streets that flank the Seine river in pedestrian zones.
The speed limit at 30 km/h also has as specific objectives not only the reduction of accidents in the city, but also the reduction of noise and pollution.
With Paris limited to a maximum speed of 30 km/h in almost all of its streets, there are exceptions, however, which occur in some of the most important arteries of the French capital, such as Avenida dos Champs Elysees, where the maximum speed can go up to 50 km/h.
This movement of l take your foot off the accelerator that is not exclusive to the capital, as around 250 French locations have already imposed the maximum speed limit of 30 km/h on most of their roads, such as the cities of Grenoble or Lille,
