Situation in Gaza

He reported Statement by the United Nations Population Fund on its official website There are an estimated 540,000 women of reproductive age in Gaza, including 50,000 who are currently pregnant and 5,522 of whom are expected to give birth next month.

These women face serious challenges in accessing safe birth services due to mobility risks, poor health care facilities and shortages of life-saving supplies.

The statement further said that if the situation continues to escalate, approximately 800,000 pregnant women in the West Bank, including 73,000 currently pregnant and 8,127 expected to give birth next month, will face increased risk.

The foundation said that for the thousands of women about to give birth, as well as those who are sick and seriously injured forced to flee their homes without any safe place, food or water is extremely dangerous.
