An amber weather warning in east scotland was extended with flood leading to school closures and violations on roads and railways.
Meanwhile, yellow warning that was in place for most of of east scotland until 18:00 on Friday was extended until midnight.
All schools in Angus in Brechin, Montrose and Kirremur were closed due to localized flooding, as well as more than a dozen others.

Road Traffic Scotland said there were reports of vehicles get stuck in Still water on southbound A90 road between Lowrenkirk and Brechin, and later the road was closed southbound at Strakatro.
