Dealers: Lowest Price for Vegetable Oils in Egypt
Introduction
Dealers said the lowest price made by the Egyptian government on Thursday for vegetable oils was $990 per ton, including shipping, for 5,500 tons of sunflower oil.
Dealers added that the lowest soybean oil supply price ever filed was $1,070 per ton, including shipping costs. At this price, many offers have been made.
Government Grain Purchaser
The General Directorate of Commodities, Egypt’s government grain purchaser, is aiming to procure vegetable oils in line with international practice, with shipments arriving from 6 to 20 October and/or 21 to 5 November.
Application Process
Authorities said dealers must submit pay-at-sight offers using two letters of credit for 180 and 270 days.
The deadline for applications is today, August 24th.
