Boeing Delivers 43 Aircraft to Customers in July
Boeing, the renowned aircraft manufacturer, successfully delivered 43 aircraft to its customers last month, with a surge in demand for new jets from airline companies. Although this number is slightly lower compared to the 60 deliveries in June, Boeing’s total deliveries for the first seven months of this year reached 309, marking an impressive 28% increase from the same period last year.
Production Transition and Optimism
In July, Boeing announced its plan to increase the production rate of its popular 737 Max plane from 31 to 38 per month, showcasing its commitment to meeting customer demands. Despite some production challenges earlier in the year and a brief strike at key supplier Spirit Aerosystems, Boeing’s Chief Financial Officer, Brian West, expressed confidence in the company’s ability to deliver between 400 and 450 Max jets by the end of this year.
Competition with Airbus
Boeing’s primary competitor, Airbus, revealed that it delivered 381 planes during the first seven months of this year, intensifying the rivalry between the two aviation giants.
New Orders and Partnerships
In July, Boeing secured net orders for 52 aircraft, including a significant order from Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) for 39 Boeing 787 Dreamliners. This deal, initially announced in March, highlights the company’s ongoing success in attracting new customers and expanding its partnerships.
