Adviser Ahmed Fahmy, spokesman for the President of the Republic, said the meeting reviewed the performance of the Egyptian economy and recent developments in the world economic situation in light of the prevailing challenges at the international level that have economic implications for the various economies of the world, including Egypt, where presented serious measures taken over the recent period to further improve the overall performance of the economy and attract diversified investments.

Future Goals and International Cooperation

In the same context, the President was briefed on the most important economic goals for the next stage, as well as efforts to cooperate with various international financial institutions to continue the process of economic reforms.

The spokesman added that during the meeting, the President emphasized that maximum efforts must be continued to limit the impact of the crisis on citizens, mitigate inflationary pressures, while continuing to implement structural reforms and maximize the role of the private sector, especially by removing bureaucratic obstacles. and the achievement of the principle of competitive neutrality, including helping to create an attractive climate for more domestic and foreign investment, as well as to increase the development achievements made in various fields, so as to support the national economy and raise the income levels of citizens.

The meeting was attended by Hassan Abdullah, Chairman of the Central Bank, Major General Abbas Kamel, Head of the General Intelligence Service, Dr. Hala Al-Saeed, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation, Dr. Muhammad Maait, Minister of Finance, and Major General Muhammad Amin, Financial Adviser to the President of the Republic.
