Google to Launch New Privacy Tools for Controlling Unwanted Personal Photos

New Privacy Tools by Google

Search engine giant Google is set to launch new privacy tools

Introduction

Search engine giant Google is set to launch new privacy tools that will give users more control over the unwanted personal photos they post online.

Updates to Google’s private photo policy mean that users will be able to delete unwanted private photos of themselves, or that they no longer want to be shown to others in searches.

Improved Control over Personal Content

Even if a person creates obscene content and uploads it to a website and no longer wants it to be searchable, they can request that it be removed from Google search results.

The company has made it easier to fill out entry forms, but the new policy does not apply to images that users are currently actively promoting.

Privacy tools also include websites that contain personal information that they do not want to be shown to others.

Google will introduce a new English-language control panel, initially available in the US, to let users know which search results show their contact information so they can quickly request that those results be removed from search results.

The new tool will also send notifications when there are new results with user information while being searched by other users.

Google announced these measures in February and will be launched worldwide in August this year.
