Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Gets Heart Rate Monitor Implanted
Introduction
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had a heart rate monitor implanted on Saturday evening, according to a video message released by his office.
Netanyahu added in a statement: “I had a monitoring device implanted a week ago. This device beeped tonight and said I needed to have a heart rate monitor implanted and I should do it tonight.”
Monitoring Device Implantation
“I am in perfect condition, but I have to listen to my doctors,” he added.
In the video, 73-year-old Netanyahu stood and smiled. He said his doctors assured him that he would leave the hospital “tomorrow afternoon”.
His office said he would undergo the procedure at the Sheba Medical Center in the Tel Hashomer area.
Netanyahu was transferred to the center on the night of July 15 after developing what his office said was dehydration without taking the necessary protective measures during a heat wave while on holiday by the sea in the Galilee.
Good Heart Health
On July 16, the hospital confirmed the initial diagnosis of dehydration and said that additional tests, including a monitor implanted under the skin, showed that Netanyahu’s heart was in good health and that the device would allow his doctors to monitor his condition.
