Saudi Central Bank SAMA Reports 2.7% Monthly Increase in Assets, Reaching 1.872 Trillion Rials in May Last Year





Saudi Central Bank SAMA Data Shows Increase in Bank’s Assets

Saudi Central Bank SAMA data showed that the bank’s assets increased to 1.872 trillion rials in May last year, up 49.5 billion rials, or 2.7% per month, more than in April last year.

Sama’s monthly report indicated that Sama’s assets increased by 7.5 billion rials in May last year, compared to 1.864 trillion rials in the same month of 2022.

According to the report, the consolidated profit of banks operating in Saudi Arabia, before deducting zakat and taxes, increased in May by 14.3% year on year and amounted to about 6.33 billion rials.

Consolidated earnings include the results of banks listed on the Saudi stock market and several branches of foreign banks operating in the Kingdom.
