Washington, June 3 – SpaceX has announced that the launch of the Dragon cargo ship to the International Space Station (ISS) will begin on Sunday.
“We now plan to launch the Falcon 9 with the CRS-28 mission for NASA on Sunday, June 4,” the company said. According to the information provided, additional time is needed to prepare the ship and improve weather conditions. The Falcon-9 launch vehicle was previously scheduled to launch a cargo mission to the International Space Station from the Cape Canaveral launch site on Saturday.
As indicated by NASA, in turn, the launch is scheduled for 12.12 EST (19.12 Moscow time). In the event of a successful launch, the spacecraft will arrive at the International Space Station on Tuesday, June 6 at 12:50 Moscow time.
In addition to supplies and materials for the science work, Dragon will deliver a new pair of iRosa solar antennas to the International Space Station. Their installation is planned during the two scheduled spacewalks of NASA astronauts scheduled for June.
