Moscow, May 27 – The Ukrainian magazine Suspilne (Public) reports that the head of the Makarovsky District Court, Oleksiy Tandyr, who hacked a National Guard soldier to death, has been detained until July 21 without the possibility of bail.
“Judge Aleksey Tander, suspected of having committed an accident while intoxicated, resulting in the death of a member of the National Guard, the court opted for a measure of restraint – detention without the possibility of bail until July 21,” the newspaper wrote.
On Friday, Ukrayinska Pravda reported that Tandyr shot a Ukrainian National Guard soldier to death at a checkpoint in Kiev. According to the post, the judge was drunk. On Saturday, the Supreme Judicial Council gave permission to detain him.
