The Iraqi Oil Ministry said the talks that were taking place between it and the Saudi Arabian Energy Ministry included inviting Saudi companies to invest in the oil and gas sector, including Aramco, to invest in and participate in the development of the Kostyl oil field in Anbar. governorate.
According to a statement received by Al-Arabiya.netin a copy of which the ministry stated that it “hopes to reach an agreement in a way that safeguards common interests and strengthens bilateral relations.”
The Iraqi Oil Ministry said that Saudi Aramco is exploring mechanisms for cooperation in this regard.
The ministry will announce the terms and arrangements for an agreement if it is reached in the future.
