ISLAMABAD: In a strike against Pakistani Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Shirin Mazari, senior leader within the party announced her resignation, marking her departure from opposition party and the political arena.
This development follows series of failures for Mazar, who repeatedly arrested in recent days amid ongoing protests triggered through arrest of former prime minister Imran Khan in land dispute on 9th May.
More recently, Mazari was re-arrested after a trial. in Gujranwala posted bail in case of vandalism on defense And public installations, including official residence of commander of the Lahore Corps and General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi during the protests.
Moments after the court ordered her release, Mazari was taken away. in Vigo, and vehicle commonly used by members of special services, no license plate.
During the proceedings on Thursday, counsel for Mazari, Faraz Ahmed, told the judge that former minister never participated in any protests and referred to the absence of proof on part of the police.
After hearing the arguments, the court ordered the police to fire Mazari. However, Mazari was taken away from outside courtroom.
