How Qatar’s Energy Minister Saved Humanity and Europe in the Current Year

Qatar’s Minister of State for Energy, Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi, predicted that Europe would face more severe oil and gas shortages, noting that a relatively mild winter had spared Europe much hardship in recent months.

Al-Kaabi said during the Qatar Economic Forum: “The only thing that saved humanity and Europe this year was a mild winter and a slowdown in the economy.” He added: “If the economy starts to recover in (2024) and a normal winter comes, I think more is coming.”

However, Al-Kaabi and his Saudi counterpart Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman confirmed at the forum that an energy crisis is not far off.

“If they do not understand this, do not have a proper plan, do not sit down at the negotiating table with manufacturers and (do not stop) demonizing oil and gas companies, Europeans will have to face reality,” Kaabi said.

Regarding the future energy supply in the world, Al-Kaabi stressed the need for a thorough study and said: “We must carefully study the issues to achieve economic stability in light of the crises experienced by some countries of the world, and we are on the verge of producing 126 million tons by 2026 “.
