Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Sunday his arrival in Berlin on an official visit from Rome, where he met with Pope Francis and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.

On Saturday, the German government announced that it was preparing to supply Ukraine with 2.7 billion euros worth of weapons, including 30 Leopard 1 tanks, armored vehicles, drones, air defense systems, missiles and ammunition.
The program for Zelensky’s visit has not yet been officially approved, but according to local media reports, he is expected to meet with Chancellor Olaf Scholz and President Frank-Walter Steinmeier in the morning.
Charlemagne Award
He can also travel to the city of Aachen in western Germany, where this year he will be presented with the International Charlemagne Prize for his contribution to strengthening European unity.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki are scheduled to attend the ceremony in Aachen.
