Professor Yuri Belenkov, cardiologist, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, explained what “extracardiac pain” is.

And the academician pointed out in a TV program that the feeling of pain in the region of the heart is a sign indicating cardiac neurosis. This pain appears as if in the heart, although it is not associated with an organic disease of the heart. The pain is usually manifested in the form of tingling and is not associated with physical activity for a long time. The symptoms of this disease also include: insomnia, high blood pressure, increased nervous excitability.

And the professor adds, explaining that massage, a warm bath and listening to calm music help prevent this disease.

The doctor points out that the feeling of lack of air can be a symptom of anxiety and psychological stress, as people who are overweight and obese feel the lack of air more than others. Therefore, he recommends the need for sports and physical activity to get rid of 1.5-2 kilograms of weight per month.
