The Islamic Development Bank Group today began its annual three-day meeting in Jeddah to discuss the challenges facing the Islamic Development Bank’s member countries.
This year, the annual meetings of the IDB Group will bring together ministers from 57 member countries, senior government officials and heads of international organizations.
The Group’s annual meetings provide an important platform for world leaders, policy makers and development stakeholders.
The head of the Islamic Development Bank Group, Muhammad Al Jasser, said more support is needed for member states to increase their development spending, pointing to an increase in loans of one billion dollars, or 34% this year. year compared to the same period last year.
Al Jasser added that the problems are very big, but the performance of the member countries of the bank is good.
