LAHORE: PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat along with with his sons Shafae Hussain and Salik Hussain were called on PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari was late on Sunday evening.
Q leaders congratulated former the president on PPP victory in in second phase of local body polls in Sind.
Two sides also discussed the political situation in Punjab and formation of intermediate set-up in provinces.
Meanwhile, PML-N denies media reports that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called on Mr. Zardari at the latter’s residence in the city of Bahria here on Sunday.
PML-N official says it wasn’t urgent need for meeting of two leaders after dissolution of Punjab Assembly. “After the dissolution of Punjab Assembly, there was no urgent mutual agenda for leadership of the PML-N and the PPP, so the meeting between Mr. Sharif and Mr. Zardari was not scheduled,” official says.
