Highway 101 to Oyster Point in South San Francisco was closed indefinitely in in both directions on Saturday morning due to severe flooding, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Caltrans crews arrived on the scene. work on cleaning from water from the roadway, and at the CHP they said the estimated time for the opening was at 17:00
Heavy rains and high tides contributed to the long delay in clean the drain to get rid of of stagnant water, the CHP said.
CHP urged motorists avoid in area and advised using Interstate 280 as an alternate route.
