ISLAMABAD: Leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi tested positive for COVID-19.
According to the details, PML-N leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi counsel Khoja Navid Ahmed reported accountability court that former prime minister gave a positive result for in novel coronavirus is currently in Quarantine.
He asked the court to release him from appearing. in case, as he cannot travel from Islamabad to Karachi.
Previously, former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and others were brought before accountability court here on Thursday in alleged illegitimate appointments in Pakistan State Oil (PSO).
It is appropriate to note here that the anti-corruption service filed a certificate against former Prime Minister Abbasi and the then oil secretary for allegedly appointing Sheikh Imran-ul-Haq as manager director and Yakub Sattar as deputy manager director (finance) of PSO in violation of rules and rules.
