ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister and Pakistani Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Wednesday expressed his determination dissolve Collections of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) in December.
Imran Khan noted this while presiding over the meeting with senior leadership of in party at his residence in Zaman Park Lahore on Wednesday.
PTI Chairman said he intends to dissolve Assemblies of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) this month, calling for senior party guide to creating a parliamentary board.
Criticism of the incumbent government over “deterioration” of the economy, the PTI chairman reiterated that the only solution to the country’s problem problems immediate and transparent elections were held.
During the meeting former federal minister Assad Umar informed former prime minister of in party affairs while Babar Awan briefed Imran Khan on legal issues. “Link against Chief Commissioner for Elections and Member of Sindh should be heard immediately,” demanded PTI.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi said Imran Khan was ready dissolve Collections of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) in several days.
Shah Mahmoud Qureshi said that Imran Khan gave clear do not accept message steps against national interests. He added that the head of the PTI was fully aware of difficult phase for Pakistan.
“The people express the opinion that new elections are the only solution for all problems. We’re trying to convince the incumbent government. President Arif Alvi also tried to convince the rulers, but progress did not have made”.
Qureshi said that Imran kept back-to-back meetings with PTI legislators in Punjab. “After talking to them, he is convinced that the only way forward dissolve meetings and moving for new elections,” he said.
Last month Imran announced it is his party would dissociate itself fromcurrent corrupt political system’, exiting assemblies of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab.
However, in Interview with Bol News earlier this week, PTI chief said he could delay dissolution of Punjab and KP assemblies if they are political players agreed to sit down at the table and decide that general elections will be called maximum by the end of next March.
Since March will be the month of Ramadan, Imran new the proposal meant that coalition government should announce date immediately of elections and dissolve all assemblies.
While former prime minister determined dissolve assembly, Punjab Chief Minister Pervez Elahi – who is in power in provinces due to support of PTI – stated that the provincial assembly “will continue the same work.” way for in next four months to March.
“My position is the same… I will dissolve [the assembly] whenever he (Imran) tells me,” Elahi said. in Interview with Hum News. “What decision was taken. However, now you have to think of its pros and cons. To do this, we will have to negotiate.”
