LAHORE: Special Court on Tuesday exempted from appearing in court prime minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif in a money laundering case, reports ARY News.

AT start of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s hearing today counsel introduced plea seeking exemption from appearing in court, invoking engagement of prime minister in things to do of country.
counsel begged with court to grant one- the day of the release of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif from appearing in court, which was accepted by the court.

in last hearing, Prime Minister Shahbaz told the court that he, in his abilities as a leader minister of Punjab for 20 years, made decisions that “offended” his family sugar business.
“I was asked to provide a subsidy to sugar factories, but I refused. I refused because amount (this will be used for subsidy) was of poor man people in Punjab,” Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said.
The Prime Minister called money laundering case against him as “fake” and said that he had never provided subsidies to the sugar mills.
