ISLAMABAD: Electoral Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Thursday decided to postpone by-elections in 13 districts of Sindh, Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Chief Electoral Commissioner Sikandar Sultan decided at today’s meeting that the vote for by-elections to be held on September 11, September 25 and October 2 were postponed due to recent floods and destruction caused this.

In the ESP, only the voting dates were announced. in the aforementioned constituencies were postponed and all other procedures and steps will be completed according to schedule.
The commission stated decision to postpone the by-election was taken after receiving proper feedback from the Ministry of The interior, according to which the Pakistani army, rangers and frontier corps busy in relief work for in flood-affected peoplemaintaining internal security and preventing out terrorist activity in country.
